I use a range of different styles of therapy – humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioural and interpersonal rather than sticking to just one.
All face to face sessions follow the Government Covid-19 Guidelines, with temperature checks on arrival, sanitisation and cleaning of the therapy space before and after each session. Masks are mandatory in the lift and reception area however they are optional in the therapy room, due to adequate distance and ventilation.
Currently, the fee is €70 for an hour session. Payment is made directly to myself – by cash or online payment transfer – following each session.
Clients are expected to give 24 hours’ notice of a cancelled appointment. If not, then they are liable for the full fee for that session.
The length of treatment will vary from person to person. There are no hard and fast rules. Nonetheless, I offer a short-term CBT model of therapy or the longer-term Psychotherapy model. This can be agreed in the first session.
All dealings with clients are dealt with in the strictest confidence and subject to standards set out in the Code of Ethics by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

“Sometimes, just the act of venting is helpful. Counseling provides a safe haven for precisely that kind of free-ranging release: You can say things in the therapist’s office, with the therapist present, that would be incendiary or hurtful in your living room.”
“We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.”
